Consultations and Training

If you’re feeling unsure or overwhelmed by your dog’s behaviour, you don’t have to figure it out alone. At Canine Connection, I offer kind, evidence-based behaviour consultations and training to support you and your dog at every stage of life.

From early puppyhood and adolescence to more complex behaviour concerns, my approach focuses on understanding your dog as an individual and building practical skills that make everyday life calmer and more manageable.

My aim is to help dogs feel safe, confident and able to cope with the world around them, while supporting owners with clear, realistic guidance they can trust.

Behaviour Consultations

A behaviour consultation is a supportive, one-to-one process designed to help you understand your dog’s behaviour and how best to support them. I take the time to explore your dog’s history, daily life and current challenges, so we can understand what may be driving the behaviour you’re seeing.

My approach is kind, ethical and evidence-based, always working at your dog’s pace and with your relationship at the heart of the process.

Your consultation includes:

  • A detailed history form to help build a clear picture of your dog’s experiences and daily routine.

  • An initial session (in person or online) focused on understanding the factors influencing your dog’s behaviour, including their environment, emotional wellbeing and learning history.

  • Time to talk through your concerns, ask questions and feel heard.

You’ll receive:

  • Clear, practical guidance tailored to your dog and your household.

  • A written summary outlining key findings and what may be contributing to the behaviour.

  • A practical management plan you can start using straight away to reduce stress and improve day-to-day life.

  • Clear recommendations for next steps, so you feel supported and confident moving forward.

  • Ongoing support, so you’re not left to manage things on your own.

My aim is always to support both you and your dog with kind, realistic and evidence-based guidance.

Class Training

Our group classes offer a supportive, structured way to build your dog’s skills around real-life distractions, while learning alongside other dogs and their people.

Sessions focus on everyday manners, confidence and calm behaviour, using kind, evidence-based training methods.

Classes are available for puppies, adolescents and adult dogs, and are carefully managed to ensure each dog feels safe, supported and able to learn at their own pace.

You’ll receive clear guidance, practical exercises and ongoing support to help you continue training at home and strengthen your bond with your dog.
